Proficiency as a Focusing Partner
Proficiency as a Focusing Partner
The Focusing Institute recognizes that many who learn Focusing but are unable to or do not want to complete training to be a Certified Focusing Professional should be recognized for their proficiency as Focusing Partners. To that end, the Institute has created this award.
Official documents from the Institute say:
A Focusing student would be well prepared to receive the PFP award after gaining experience equivalent to 2 or 3 weekend workshops with supervised experiential partnership practice in between. Some specific skills include the ability:
• To identify the felt sense;
• To understand and utilize the importance of safety in focusing;
• To listen in the focusing way.
Learners who have completed training with me may be eligible for this Award at the end of Level II training and success with at least one Focusing partner. The Institute hopes awardees will establish and retain a long relationship with it and become an active member in the Institute. A small fee paid ($50) to the Institute is required with the option of joining the Institute as a member.
You will receive
•A handsome Award signed by the Director of the Focusing Institute and myself
•Your name in the Focusing Directory for one year and continuing if you remain a member of the Institute
•Access to all the resources and information on the Focusing Institute website
•Opportunity to build professional and friendship alliances across the world.
