Worked for Japan as well.
I'm not sure about the end goal, but when I first got here, I used it to find obscure tech stories, then to bookmark a variety of stuff and now it's almost a bunch of mini forums (the comments sections) based around the individual stories. I comment on a lot more stories than I digg. I use the actual digg function to bookmark stories, not as a "like" button. However, when I digg a comment it is a "like".

I currently live in Huntington, WV, which is considered the fattest city in America. As someone who has seen how awful it is firsthand, I really hope the rest of the country doesn't fall into the same trend. Seeing so many fat people all the time is incredibly depressing, and it just ruins the atmosphere of the town..
Does anyone else find these designs unimaginative. Yes, "if it is not broke don't fix it", but come on. There are more interesting "out of the box" ideas coming from outside of NASA. What about Blue Origin's VTOL New Shepard Project? I had great hopes for the Delta Clipper series (DC-X,DC-XA, Clipper Graham). These are both only orbital transports but they show how like many government agencies, NASA tends to get buried in their own bureaucracy. When China makes a serious push for space we will have a great difficulty keeping pace.!

I guess the Royal Family is the ultimate safeguard against a Prime Minister or Government going berserk. The Queen vetoes any PM candidate, and can choose to make PMs resign, or even stay on in power. Heck, during the 50s the Queen apparently almost staged a coup; because of concerns that the then-current PM, Harold Wilson, was a Soviet spy. But don't go thinking that the Queen can just go waltzing in and take over everything, the Armed Forces for instance are under control of Parliament; not the royalty. EDIT: She also has a very important role in that of being the Head of State. Most of the royalties time is taken up with formal visits, diplomacy, etcetera etcetera.
