He says she was released from the organisation and the files were destroyed."Despite his relative youth and as much as it pains me to say it (actual Conservative here) Senator Nick Xenophon is one of the dying breed of statesmen who put their neck on the line to speak out for vulnerable Australians. I feel guilty because I sometimes think that one day, we'll find out that he's corrupt or had some sort of scandal floating around in his past, because the notion that an Independent Senator speaking from the heart in a common sense way about the rights of at-risk individuals seems like something from a movie. I have to remind myself that this is how elected representatives are supposed to act all the time!Xenophon already has a lot of enemies from the infamously well-funded pubs and clubs lobby, who don't like his outrght dislike of poker machines and their effect on families.
