Duh? Anyone who draws a parallel between the Mayan calendar and Nostradamus predictions is willfully ignorant. There's all kinds of theories, but the references made to 2012 have been accepted as having little to do with the 'end of times' or the apocalypse. The Maya didn't even conceptualize an apocalypse, that's strictly a European word created during the rise of Christianity.
I stopped reading once I saw Twilight.

True. Having a Chinese IP may make it less likely that it is a Chinese op. But they know that, so maybe they'll use Chinese IPs. But then they know that we know that they know...... I'll leave that reasoning up to the game theory geeks to figure out.?
FTA: "Some 90 percent of U.S. college dorms are now coed." ... So really the study results show that a stubborn refusal to gender integrate dorms results in teetotaling, prudishness and sexual aversion. It's all in how you interpret the data. |

People seem to be ranting against coal very intensely these days, but I have to ask you: how bad is coal really for the environment? People just assume that since it's coal, and it's being burned, that tons and tons of pollutants are being dumped into the atmosphere. That's not true.I lived about 500 yards away from a coal fired power plant for 2 years. I never saw black clouds billowing into the sky, I never choked on bad air, I never even knew it was actually a coal plant until later. Today, coal plants are so heavily regulated for their emissions that virtually nothing comes out of those smoke stacks except steam. What they can't filter out, they avoid by using higher quality coal. Did you know that most coal fired plants only use coal from areas like Wyoming or Kentucky because it has lower sulfur content? They do that because there is no good process for removing SOx compounds (which cause acid rain) from the emissions, so they just simply don't burn high sulfur content coal. Burning coal isn't the demon people make it out to be, though it would be better if we could use something else. Now the process of mining coal, that's a different story. I think that is where a lot of the problems come into play. Strip mining is much worse than the actual act of burning the coal.
