Wait, there's a market for fake home videos made by Eastern Europeans? Are they the Nigerians of America's Funniest Home Videos?
what they really can't handle: - more than one hero (especially if the "other" heroes aren't central characters) - not an origin story - a plot different from (not more complicated than, just different from) one of Snidely Whiplash's more dastardly schemes - two iconic and long-separated events in a character's history not happening in the first movie - (not universal, but often): Not having the supposedly good-at-heart hero kill people, or do things to kill people followed by a "but he's okay, folks!" shot of should-be-dead guys crawling away - keeping the villain alive

What an incredible list of *****.Let's see here. The US is listed as 19th *least* corrupt nation. But Afghanistan and Iraq, products of an illegal US invasion in two sovereign nations, are listed as most corrupt? Afghanistan is the war-torn hellhole that it is because the United States decided to have a little proxy war with the Soviets there, yet they are the ones that are corrupt?Iran is on there, but they have never invaded a country. And while they may have a terrible government, that terrible government was the result of a revolution that was fed by anger at America overthrowing their prior democracy (see: Operation Ajax).Guatemala and United Fruit, Vietnam, Korea, the military industry/Pentagon cartel, Goldman Sachs, Iran Contra, etc. etc. Any list of corrupt nations doesn't begin unless it starts with the US.?
Ha. That was supercomputer porn. |

I used to operate a Nuclear Reactor (directly control), at the Hanford Nuclear Reservationto produce plutonium for the DOE.It was a graphite moderated type, as was the Chernobyl reactor. When Chernobyl went up, we went down. While there are all kinds of new reactor designs on paper, The first thing I noticed in the article was the mention of it's use of helium as a coolant. We are running out of helium, there is only one source of helium which used to be controlled by the Government; as the WWII production reactors used helium as an inert atmosphere within the reactor, not as a coolant. It wouldn't be wise to rely upon a limited supply of helium as a coolant for a reactor, in any long term investment.Google: helium shortage - first hit (Wired) is a good one.The Pebble bed reactor as mentioned at the beginning of this thread is the most likely design to be produced in the U.S. (China is already constructing them), and can use other gases as a coolant.FWIW: google earth:46°41'00.62" N, 119°30'12.00" W (all one line, and search)You need to zoom out of course, but that's the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, the first Grey site in the lower left is B-Reactor the first production reactor ever built. and now a historic site. I operated the third one up on the left, N-Reactor. These are old pictures as all but B reactor have been disassembled, the reactors themselves being entombed, or buried. As for sent fuel elements, they are still stored there. There was one plan of creating a religion, it's purpose - to pass on to future generations not to dig in the area for 10,000 years (Honest).
