I think the thing i dislike most about these artists who 'speed paint' is the number of defenders they have. It actually doesn't take that much skill to copy a picture so that it can look like the original. However, it takes a lot of skill to copy a picture properly, (.ie not using the eyedropper to find colours). Real skin tones have tons of colour variations, a lot more yellows and purples and pastel colours than what can be perceived by an unartistic eye. This artist has really poor draftmanship ability, just from the way he draws contours. There are tons of artists who do photorealistic really well. I think this one is just good at self promoting more than anything else.
