| That was a terribly written article. No useful information, just hype, and more than a few "republicans good, democrats bad" |

I'm not suggesting that they didn't have a good car. But they simply weren't anywhere near as competitive after round 7. Toyota & Williams aren't the teams to beat & I'm sure you know that. Ferrari were smart enough to realise that regardless of how much they improved, they weren't likely to win the championship & so pushed all of their development onto the 2010 car, which I think you'll see when the new season starts. My basic point is that Brawn achieved very little in way of development throughout the season, which is supported by their performance. They were the fastest until they lost the double diffuser & from then on were competitive but not dominant in any sense. Red Bull continued to improve throughout the year & lost the season because they didn't have a fast enough car to take on Brawn with the double diffuser at the start of the year.My only issue with the double diffuser is that it wasn't decided fairly. Either Brawn, Toyota & Williams had read the rules properly & were smart enough to take advantage in which case they should have had it all season, or they misread the rules & broke them, in which case they should have lost the points from races in which they used it. The compromise was ridiculous! "We think you broke the rules but just remove the part & don't do it again & we'll forget the fact that you've used that part to give you a virtually unassailable lead in this years championship."
I'm young, hip, well-spoken, and tech-savvy and don't twitter. I didn't realize using twitter was a prerequisite.

“I'm digging you down because you didn't even bother to read the second sentence in the ***** article."According to the complaint, on June 22, 2004, Michelle Williams of Lynwood, Illinois, applied for a life insurance policy on her own life and named her mother, plaintiff Kathryn Depratto, as the beneficiary."The victim took out the policy on her OWN life. If you want to argue that insurance companies are rightfully wary of payouts to families of murder victims, fine, but don't try to dump this on the mother. Furthermore, if they wanted to include a provision that voided the policy if the policyholder was murdered, they very well could have included that rule. They didn't, so it's just weaseling at this point. "Insufficient proof" my ass.

I worked for the registrar when this was big news. I took a few calls and emails from pissed off animal lovers about the site..
To all of you saying that price is determined by supply vs demand and is thus not applicable to digital media: You're not thinking this through. The price of any commodity is determined solely by how much people are willing to pay for it. Obviously scarcity value plays a massive role in the equation, but DeBeers can't charge $1,000,000,000,000 per diamond even though they do have a throttle on the market - because people simply won't pay it.Correspondingly, you *could* in theory make a profit by selling music at $0.05 per song, since you have practically zero distribution costs compared to selling physical CDs. But, since many people are willing to pay twenty times as much, these companies will charge twenty times as much and pocket the difference. There is such a thing as an optimal price point: more people buy Song X if it's cheaper, but you can conceivably make more money by boosting its price and getting fewer downloads - *if* the price increase is sufficient to offset the loss due to decreased sales. It's a ridiculously simple equation - we did this sort of stuff in 6th grade. The trick is finding that optimal balance, which is what the industry is doing right now. It might actually be in their best interests to jack up the price to the point where fewer people buy the song, but those who *do* buy it end up paying more.!
