It's even better in the game industry!Developer to boss- Here's that thing you wanted but have no idea how to make, and don't understand why we should've done it the other way. Also here's something that will make the game awesome. I made it in my "free time" because I'm "passionate about games"Boss to dev - It's cut, and you're fired. Your idea is horribleX months later - Former employer releases game with your work and awesome idea.X months after that - Former boss calls you up looking for a job.!

I was actually at that taping. Everytime the camera was only on Colbert, Jon was falling out of his chair laughing and would compose himself just seconds before his line. As soon as it was over, Colbert was apologizing over and over. I just wanted to say I was there... and it was hilarious.

@Borez, I wouldn't say people are hiding from it. People are definitely disorganized though. The record sales of guns and ammunition I think points toward people planning for the worst. There is a lot of discussion going on, I think Digg is an example of that. The UK isn't much better, and arguably in just as bad shape. There have been plenty of insane economic decisions made by the last couple UK governments also. The UK is in more similar condition to the US economically than most Brits want to admit also in my opinion. It's a time of crisis, and just like the population, the government is divided on almost every issue as well. In these times of rash decisions by governments looking to appease the masses it is the easiest for the corrupt to push their own agendas also. |
