| Hey, this IS cool, but come on, he is able to follow some simple geometry and pull a cord from an anchored center and can knows how to pull a hoe through dirt.Let's not embellish that and a good buzz. . . .with art. |

“I was just out in the wind farms (read: industrial complexes) out in Oregon. Thousands of turbines providing half the power of a single small scale natural gas plant, unreliably, for more than twice the price, effecting thousands of acres of prime farm land. The kicker is that they dont even have the proper transition lines to move the power anywhere productive. When the wind gets going, the dams have to power down to keep the system from overloading. The whole thing is just not thought out very well. For alternate energy to do any good we need a better grid.

The U.S. may be on a downfall but I'd rather live in this crumbling place than that godawful nation. I can still say our government has gone to ***** and have a gun to defend myself..
"* replaced the lid* replaced the keyboard* replaced the logic board"All that for a faulty switch?I guess that's cool so long as you are paying for Apple Care, but I'd hate to get service from such a place paying out of pocket. Just saying. Also, I would never think to approach Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Ace, etc. directly for service. I suppose a lot of people do it, but you should fully expect to get ***** on because that's not their main business. There are, however, many locally owned PC repair shops essentially everywhere. They can be admittedly hit and miss, but if you stay away from Geek Squad and ask around you can usually find a reputable shop with reasonable service fees in your area. That said, I thought the guys in video seemed very amiable and helpful even when approached with a relatively unusual situation, and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with taking your system in for service. I can change my own oil, but that doesn't mean I always have the time or motivation to be bothered with it instead of just going to Jiffy Lube or whatever.!

yeah, the Megan Fox one was awesome. If I saw only the picture without the video, I'd think it was a photo at first glance?
There have been times where the wayback machine has definitely saved data that otherwise would have gone poof, forever. Case in point: I was looking for some info on an old synthesizer -- there was a page written by a musician containing a treasure-trove of reverse-engineered info he'd compiled over the years including ZIP archives of undocumented system-exclusive messages and file/disk formats.. unbeknownst to him, the archives on his server had become corrupted about a year before I visited. This info was NOWHERE else on the net since he wrote it all himself, and he'd not backed the files up (yes, stupid on his part).Anyway, long story short, the wayback machine had archived his intact ZIP files, which I helpfully emailed to him and he repaired his site :). Yes, he should have backed up his site, but he didn't, and the knowledge would have been lost forever otherwise. If you're so against the internet archive, I sincerely hope you never write anything useful on your site so no one depends on it. |

It's funny because I think I would actually pay more, because of the guilt of feeling like I was taking advantage of someone. God I'm a douche.

I would be inclined to calculate what the meal was actually worth. The spinach quiche and tomato soup listed in the article for $1.50 and $3 respectively, would easily be worth $2 and $4 at a different restaurant, so the lady paid the fair price. I'd stop by and do handyman work for them in exchange for the free food though. Chick peas and rice sound mighty tasty.

There's already a very experimental AR contact. Of course, it only displays a single pixel, and has only been tested on rabbits, however, there doesn't seem to be any major known issues with scalability or safety. |
