Why would I want to project a movie/whatever onto a piece of paper and have to worry about ambient light? Why would I want other people to see the photos/whatever I am projecting onto a wall? It seems to me like some kind of glasses which overlay this stuff onto our vision without actually projecting it is what we want.

Slow news day in Toronto ?
Such knee-jerk partisan Obama hate. But you can bet that as soon as a Republican is elected president, these toadies will have his prong in their mouth so fast it will cause a sonic boom.

I would agree with you if it weren't for the fact that Australia's political system seems entirely dedicated to keeping the Liberal and Labor parties in power without any real checks and balances (because for all the bickering, they're just two wings of the same lame duck). The point of the Senate was supposed to be to give each STATE equal representation. But instead of 6 roughly-equal-sized groups debating on roughly equal terms, we end up with The Jets having knife fights with The Sharks, and a handful of rabble trying to be heard over the din.
The Constitution doesn't grant these rights, citizen or no. It recognizes them as inalienable. Military courts that allow evidence secret evidence and statements achieved through torture go against our values.
