Even as much as I'm hating Hollywood, I wouldn't be that harsh. There have been quite a few good, original movies even in the 90's.However the last batch of releases the last 5 years has been both insulting and degrading (although the reinvisioning of Star Trek was quite watchable)
Seriously pull your head out of Glen Beck's ass. In Canada all treatment is decided by the doctors who see you. No reason it couldn't be the same for the US.

You've got it mixed up a bit. The technology referenced in the article IS a pebble-bed reactor, or at least a version of one. PBRs don't "automatically cool down", and the fuel pellets certainly don't "move apart". PBRs are inherently safer than traditional reactors, because the reaction is self-modulating. It cannot melt down, because as the heat rises, the reaction slows due to doppler broadening, and the temperature comes back down. It is not possible for the temperature to rise above the melting point of the graphite containers.!

You guys have a poor grasp of statistical analysis. Your anecdotal stories about a particular computer failing or not do not discount the findings from the study's sample. Some computers fail in a given amount of time and some don't. The study simply explains the percentages from each manufacturer that failed in the time stated. So saying that you're surprised that a particular brand is ranked higher or lower because of your neighbor's experience is silly.I heard it rains a lot in the Pacific Northwest but when I was there on vacation we had nothing but sunshine. So I'm surprised that some people think it rains there. |
