Different places got different cultures I guess. Did you know in Korea husbands give their wives their monthly paychecks, and the wives are totally in charge of the family finances? You think that would work elsewhere?

“I'm not sure about the end goal, but when I first got here, I used it to find obscure tech stories, then to bookmark a variety of stuff and now it's almost a bunch of mini forums (the comments sections) based around the individual stories. I comment on a lot more stories than I digg. I use the actual digg function to bookmark stories, not as a "like" button. However, when I digg a comment it is a "like".

But govsucks, don't forget....if we don't vote for someone who can be perceived as a potential winner, we're throwing our vote away by voting for someone who can't win./sIf everyone that complained about the two parties actually put their money where their mouth was, we would have more than two parties by now, but for 99% people think that they have to vote for one of the perceived viable candidates to "have their vote count". It's total *****..

The worst part is the consumer doesn't even have the choice to buy from other sources. However, it's important to keep in mind that a boycott is not always the best solution in cases like this. The working conditions are bad, but if they were out of work things would be worse. Either the workers will have to fight for their own rights (which will be tough and take a very long time), or our major corporations will have to demand better conditions for workers of suppliers (which has no business incentive). There is no easy solution here...

Not to mention they pay pretty damned well, even compared to the non-horrific job alternatives.Yeah, that's right - those horrifically low salaries fluff pieces always mention? They pointedly don't mention that a gallon of milk doesn't cost $4 USD in ass-end-of-the-worldistan.
