The interview was great but a lot of the comments don't seem to understand the reality of business. News must be paid for but a pay wall is just plain stupid. Simply reporting or commentating on an event can be done as a hobby but real journalism takes real funding. New revenue models are needed for the new distribution models. The ad supported model may work but pay walls won't.

“By bandying around terms like "micro evolution" and "macro evolution" you're clearly demonstrating your lack of knowledge of the science of evolution. The terms were coined individually by a Russian entomologist and an American botanist in the early 1900's. But by the 1940's scientists has pretty much universally dropped the "micro" and "macro" prefixes as researchers had started discussing evolution in terms of the changes in allele frequencies (changes in forms of a gene) without any mention of the level or timing of change. You'll find very little, if any use of those terms from the 1940's until just the last few years when anti-evolutionists (young Earth creationists, etc) started misusing the terms. The claim that micro evolution is qualitatively different from macro evolution is bogus, as the main difference between the two processes is that one occurs within a few generations, whilst the other takes place over thousands of years. They describe the same process, just over different spans of time. So if you believe in one then you must believe in the other. By saying you believe in one but not the other you're simply contradicting yourself. It's as if you claim you believe that planting an acorn in the ground will sprout a seedling but you don't believe that in 100 years it'll be a massive oak tree.

It's hard to fight companies like Comcrap. It's all about money. They know that. The US government knows it, mainly because they get money from lobbyists. Do some research. There are ways around the BS..
1 week after it comes out they'll find a way to jailbreak it and then they'll basically be giving away nice free electronics.!

>If Micro$oft follows through with this, and pushes the full .NET framework out as Open Source, this is a HUGE announcement..Net Framework was open source even before it v1.0 release. Now you can even step in Framework's source code when you debug.P.S. just don't forget the difference between open source(tm) and free software. Just don't listen to the shady Linux PR people trying to confuse you.?
You have to go back to Lincoln to make some point though? Are you serious? |

Some of it's ok, some of it isn't. It's isn't terrible like some people are saying. The deer heads are just not suited there with modern furniture, if i was going to have them there anyway i'd have them in white to make a contrast between the black.I dislike the carpet, if they really wanted the modern look, wooden floors through out would of been my preference.Interior designs are not meant to works of art like some people expecting. I just like mine to be a clean and clear thinking environment. Any "works of art" will distract from that.

Even if they had filmed Watchmen and it hadn't sucked (it did)Crisis on Infinite Earths is Watchmen x 100 from a plot complexity and visuals standpoint. I mean, you can hand the book to someone and it's ***** incomprehensible if you don't have about 10 years of reading DC comics pre-Crisis to make sense of it. |
