was making sure someone said it, or else i woulda posted as well. thanks!
As I was sitting at Dunkin Donuts on campus today, I looked up the nutrition facts of the stuff I was having. I almost threw up my hot chocolate after reading it had 10 grams of saturated fat, I then felt even sicker when I dared to read the ingredients of what I was eating. I probably won't be eating there anymore. Restaurants/fast foods in the USA should be ashamed of the ***** they pass off as food. Is it too much to ask to use real milk in my hot chocolate??? Does it really need a list of 20+ ingredients??? Disgusting. I don't even want to think about Taco Bell. That's why I eat there like once a year, if I have to.

Normally, I like to know about as many subjects as possible. However, I am completely content with knowing absolutely nothing about this movie or series or whatever and keeping my manhood intact. For all males out there who have any idea about this movie you have revoked your status as a male and must hand in your penises at the door on your way out.And you can't use the excuse that your girlfriend made you go see it as that revokes your manhood status as well..
I don't know why people are bashing the father so much. The kid will learn English just fine when he grows up, unless if he has a learning disability. Take, for example, the many foreign kids who were brought to the US as a kid (me included). It would've have been more useful if the kid were taught another more popular language, but there is value in teaching the kid a different language, be it Klingon, Sindarin, etc. It actually allows them to acquire other languages easier, and teaches them that grammar structure can be something other than English.!

I consider Middlesex the WORST book I ever read.?
"So you are saying you have no problems with that practice?"No, what he's saying is:"To blame that for the entire price movement of oil as a commodity is extreme."Skipped over that sentance huh?"Now, what good can be gained by having that system, besides boatloads of money for the people artificially raising the price of the commodity?"None? Did he imply that it was good? Or bad? JohnGalt750 was trying to explain what is really going on so that us people who aren't wall st tycoons can get a grip on the situation. It seems to me you are implying that he approves of the current situation because he has knowledge that you do not.Not the case.If you don't think what they are doing is good, you can do something about it! The answer is in the quote you so kindly quoted!"If you feel these organizations are pricing oil artificially then you can make a killing by shorting oil for it's eventual price collapse."If you are so sure the current system is corrupt, put your money where your mouth is and buy some stock and short it.For disclosure, I hate the SEC and do think wall street is corrupt beyond repair. I'm just playing devil's advocate because a lot of people like to get themselves all riled up without fully understanding the situation. |

I fully understand this sentiment and my rational mind supports it. But the notion of Sarah Palin running for Presidential candidacy is so comically powerful that it tempts my curiously. What if she made ground? What if her arguments improved? Though I suspect the onslaught of informed insight and comic interest would doom her chances it might be interesting to see the American public face the challenge of parsing out irrational and destructive platforms from legitimate arguments. That is where the perhaps worthy vaudeville would be - it might even be healthy? (supreme emphasis on the unqualified certainty)I would like to see a female President at some point in America's future but Palin is unfortunately a theatrical clown and village idiot rather then an honest representation of leading American acumen and rational talent. When a female candidate (preferably more then one in addition to Hillary Clinton) will have the courage to step forward we may see the interest in Palin subside as a comic historical anecdote.

There's a difference between 'news' as in headlines and 'news' as in proper journalism. If Radio 4's Today Programme went subscription-only, I'd pay for it in a heartbeat. |
