Plus, you could be sued for putting something like this in your portfolio. Many of these celebrity photographers are fairly famous, and get rightfully pissed when people do this with their images. Look what happened to Shepard Fairey--the pop artist who made the iconic image of Obama. And his image was way different than the original photograph which wasn't his.

"why not give the stimulus money to the people to pay down the outstanding debts" - correct me if I'm wrong, but the bailout money was always meant to be a temporary loan. If people were to receive bailout funds directly to pay down their mortgage principles then they would just be replacing one debt with another. How exactly could we expect them to pay the bailout money back at that point when the only thing thats changed is who they write their checks out to?.
Why anyone would bury this comment is beyond me. Pure genius!!

In the Wilson case, it seems that the residents have a much larger problem of corrupt legislatures willing to sell them out for bribes. Obviously these guys needed to be voted out of office (or sent to jail) before many things (not just internet service) can be fixed.In the Monticello case, it was not a picture perfect result, but now the residents have 2 fiber optic ISPs to choose from. They can go with the existing ISP that was forced through competition to lay down fiber. Or they can go with their own fiber solution that is not ready yet, but will presumably be more customer-centric. This case does an excellent job of showing that sometimes even competition with a severe legal disadvantage can still generate good results. Ideally the Monticello ISP would not have been allowed to use the courts to stop the city from laying down it's own fiber, but that is really more of a problem with the local laws and/or courts there.
