“"It factored in the production costs of those movies against how much boxoffice, DVD and other revenue they generated in order to come up with an operating income for each film, which it then compared with the salaries the stars earned."Right...

That's not it at all, but I can at least see where you're coming from now.Actual explanation:"Oh sure, I acknowledge that we have the ability to walk," - we can physically take steps, a metaphor for the small step in the appearance of a new species (so-called 'micro-evolution')"it's just that I don't believe anyone can walk from one end of the country to the other," - a hyperbolic statement. Of course you could walk across the country, it would just take a long time and MANY steps. A metaphor for how it would take many small steps of micro-evolution in order to reach something we could refer to as 'macro-evolution' wherein we have a totally new genus (is that the word I want?) which can no longer breed with the original animal (actual evolution). This is of course possible, like walking across a continent, it would just a long time and many many individual steps.Personally, I think that was an excellent metaphor. Kudos..

well, polar bears do biodegrade and wind up in the oceans eventually. But they key question is whether they can be turned into plastics. I just don't know.?
I would like to setup a corp wiki in my work environment.. Putting policies, howtos, etc. all on word docs in shared drives is pretty nonsense today and I would like to suggest to move away from it.The only hurdles would be it would need AD support, redundancy, and easy enough to use for people with little to no computer skills.Suggestions would be welcomed. |

These guys are genius. They cage some Polar bears, which start dying one by one. Did they not realize that they needed to do something different? Ha. I mean if one dies, shouldn't that be a give away that you're doing something wrong?

"Insufficient proof of loss"?I kept repeating that in my head a few times, because I couldn't quite fathom anyone having the balls to say this to a mother that just lost her daughter to a murderer. One would be inconsolable as it was, and to add such insult to injury is not something I should think AFLAC could recover from easily, if not for an out of court settlement of an undetermined amount...I would advise the family to take them to court, so this doesn't happen again to anyone else. |
